At Carrier, wellness goes beyond physical fitness... It extends to occupational, nutritional, emotional and social wellness as well. We are dedicated to helping employees maintain a healthy lifestyle through our Health Services. Every Carrier associate has the opportunity to access health information for weight loss, exercise tips, stress management and other topics.
Exercise and fitness activities are available at certain Carrier locations. The best example is the Wellness Center found at our Syracuse, New York, location. This on-site facility is one of the most unique centers of its kind and offers employees the ultimate in convenient, low-cost total wellness programs.
Equipped with state of the art fitness machines, racquet ball and basketball courts, low-impact track, professional trainers, saunas and whirlpool, the Wellness Center eliminates the need to join costly health clubs. And unlike typical health clubs, the center offers services such as cholesterol screening, personal health risk assessments and lifestyle management - not to mention tennis and golf clinics!
The Carrier Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is also available to help associates and their families deal with personal problems that may compromise their well-being, health or possibly their jobs. The EAP will provide confidential support with personal problems in such areas as marital, family, financial, emotional, job, stress, legal, alcohol or other substance abuse.
