Project Leaders
Help Carrier develop and qualify new technologies, products or processes by assuming responsibility for a project from inception to completion. Research current technologies, work with customers to ensure satisfaction and coordinate activities with other project staff. Requirements include a BA/BS in the discipline related to the project, 8 or more years of relevant work experience with demonstrated technical proficiency, and project management and communication skills.
Design Engineers
Help Carrier develop, enhance, and sustain its extensive family of products. Provide technical support on projects including feasibility applications, profitability assessments or research. Team with various support functions and interface with customers and vendors. Requirements include BS in Engineering with 5 or more years of relevant experience, or an MS in Engineering with 2 or more years of relevant experience, and familiarity with HVAC products, equipment and systems.
Manufacturing Engineers
Help Carrier manage all phases of complex engineering projects, interfacing with internal customers, vendors and product design engineering. Identify engineering problems, initiate or recommend actions to resolve them and manage projects. Determine appropriate tooling and equipment needs, costing, production routing, installation and training activities. Requirements include BS in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience and knowledge of SPC, lean manufacturing, tolerancing, gaging techniques and testing.
Software Engineers
Help Carrier develop embedded and PC-based software controls; design or sustain software for electronic control products and provide software-based technical support on projects, including feasibility application or research. Design work may include interfacing with the customer to identify functional requirements. Qualifications include BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2 or more years of relevant development experience with either embedded or PC-based systems using C/C++, and Visual Basic in a Windows 95/NT development environment. Software simulation experience is a plus.
Sales Engineers
Help Carrier generate sales by acting as the critical link between Carrier and the commercial marketplace as we provide the technical solutions to our customers' vast array of air conditioning needs. You will lead the sales process from initial customer contact to equipment and/or service delivery with the assistance of an inside sales support team. To ensure your success, Carrier offers a five-month technical training program based in Syracuse, NY. The program is designed to give newly hired sales engineers the skills they need to be successful covering: engineering fundamentals of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, extensive controls, product and system training, and an introduction to sales and marketing tools, programs and processes. Training is conducted in the classroom, our manufacturing facilities and our sales offices. Qualifications include a BS in engineering, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior work experience and/or internship experience preferred in mechanical contracting, engineering, building management or other HVAC related fields and/or sales experience.
