The Road to Success...
A Cyber Tour of the Sales Engineer Training Program
Some of the Highest-Paid Engineers Don't Design --They're Sales Engineers. Join us on a cyber tour as we join the Sales Engineer Class of 2000 through Carrier's extensive 5 month training program.
Meet the Class of 2000
35 recent college graduates, from over 20 universities chose Carrier because of the opportunities available. They will spend the next five months developing skills that would take other recent graduates years to gain.
Welcome to Syracuse!
The five-month Sales Engineer Training Program is based in Syracuse, NY. A group of new sales engineers enjoy the welcoming BBQ the evening before the training program begins.
The first day of the training class.
Tony Guzzi, President of the Commercial Systems and Services Division discuss' the key competencies required to be a successful sales engineer. The training program provides these through a combination of structured training and a "hands-on" approach to development.
Pictured are Kenley and Owen, working on the HVAC Basic Systems Design Course by examining the latest Carrier Product Selection Program. It's not all hard work, though. The class also enjoys their weekly golf lessons at a local golf course. This is just one of the softer sales skills you'll obtain in our training program.
Watch for updates as the class of 2000 continues on their journey to success. Next month, we'll begin our unique advanced product training, where our new sales engineers will receive instruction from product experts both in the classroom and in our manufacturing facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina, McMinnville, Tennessee and Montreal, Canada.
