Here at Carrier we realize the need for time is increasingly important in today's fast-paced, busy lifestyles. Paid time off is available for a variety of personal needs:
Rest and Relaxation
After only 30 days, newly hired employees are eligible for vacation days in the current calendar year if hired by October 31. And in the following calendar year, look forward to two weeks of vacation time - plus three weeks after five years and additional time as service grows.
In addition to vacation, Carrier generally provides up to 12 paid holidays each year, determined by the plant or office where you work.
Personal Business
We recognize that occasionally personal business must be conducted during normal work hours and therefore up to three paid personal days a year can be arranged.
Carrier also offers paid time-off for volunteer emergency service, short-term military duty, jury duty and funeral leave.
Employee or Family Member's Illness
Carrier will continue 100% of pay each year up to scheduled amounts when employees are unable to work due to illness. Short-term disability payments at 60% of salary may continue if a needed Medical Leave exceeds the 100% pay period. There is no employee cost for either program.
Up to five days of 100% paid sick leave may be used each year for urgent dependent care needs, such as caring for a sick child or a dependent parent.
